Ava is sick. She's on 2 lpm and on steroids. Some sort of respiratory virus. The temperature just dropped for the first time this Winter, so I will blame that. For those that know prednisone, you know it caused hyperglycemia, which has been the best side effect ever for Ava!! On this steroid, while sick, her blood sugar is 62. This is amazing! Without this medication, her blood sugar would be in the 20's or 30's. A hidden blessing!

She sees rehabilitaion this week to discuss medical beds. I'm nervous about this process, but people tell me they are so worth it. :)

Dakota's endoscopy results are in. She has IBS and esophogitis. The IBS is a chronic issue that she will need to live with. We're not sure what caused the esophogitis. It's not "EE" so we're watching this.
